55 Shanghai primary school students had the creative training classes in Florence; they have got the famous Italy teachers’ instructions, and touched some of Florence's art exhibitions for themselves.
The 55 winners of the first "Sino-EU Students Creative Design Competition" came to Florence, Italy with their works for itinerant exhibition. In their tour, the Shanghai students closely contacted with international design masters and visited the designer's studio. The activity is organized by Shanghai creative industry display and service platform together with Florence Department of Culture and Education Ministry and Jing’an Education Bureau in Italy, which is intended to further train Shanghai creative design talents.
The teachers and students from Shanghai Jing’an District Central Primary School have got warm welcome from Florence Tourism Administration and Education Bureau. George, head of Education Bureau, said: "For the first time, there are a large number of Chinese primary student representatives coming to visit Florence. According to the cultural exchange program agreement, in the future we will organize students to visit China. I am amazed at these kids’ learning achievement and outstanding creativity ahead of their age. Obviously, China is focused on investing to education. "
Cifu, Head of Tourism Administration, stressed: "China has shown a demand for investment in creativity and hopes to train designers and creative professionals for the future industrial development." He added: "This exchange program will add a missing field to China - the design culture."
