The development of creative design industry of the city ushered in the spring. Ai Baojun, vice mayor, said the development of creative design industry, Shanghai has a good foundation, but also its unique geographical advantages and favorable conditions, to respond positively to the State Ministry of documents called for in 11 ministries, conscientiously implement the "Shanghai Creative Design advice ", give full play to advantages of Shanghai industrial base, breaking the bottleneck policy, vigorously promote the creative design and advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries of the depth of integration with the regional industrial structure adjustment and the close convergence of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta; brings together international and local resources for Shanghai to achieve "innovation-driven, transformation and development" to provide strong support for the Shanghai into a more international influence of "design" and work hard.
Zhu Hongren, chief engineer of Ministry of Industry, affirmed the full recognition of the achievements of Shanghai to promote the creative design industry, hoped Shanghai to continue to play the advantage, making greater contributions economic to integration development of the Yangtze River Delta regional and being a national model of promoting the development of the creative design industry.
According to responsible persons of City Economic Information Committee, in recent years, the city creative design industry is showing a good momentum of vigorous development, such as the emergence of a number of well-known companies like Creative Design Group, cultivating and gathering a group of creative design talent at home and abroad, industry getting bigger. In February of 2010, Shanghai joined in the UNESCO "Creative Cities Network" as the "design city" after.
